If your heart skips a beat on this hike, it probably isn't down to the exertion. We put the blame fairly and squarely on the riot of colourful alpine flowers carpeting the mountain landscape.

Hike over romantic mountain pastures between Männlichen and Alpiglen. This trail leads you through an enchanting landscape of meadows and pastureland dotted with wild anemones, buttercups, gentians, alpine roses and cotton grass. Picnic in the shade of a gnarled stone pine. The Romantic Trail branches off at the southernmost point of the Männlichen plateau towards Teufenschlucht gorge. From Alp Gummi, it winds its way slightly uphill and then down to Alp Bustiglen, passing Arvengarten and ending at Alpiglen. Prepare to lose your heart to the sublime scenery!
